Reminder - Monday, September 28: Non-Instructional Day - Students do not attend school.
Daily Health Check for Families: Please ensure you use this form (copy on our school website) to check your child for symptoms prior to attending school. If you answer "Yes" to any of the questions your child should NOT attend school and you should notify the office by calling the Safe Arrival Line at 250-658-4002. Thank you.
IMPORTANT - Students with Life Threatening Conditions: Parents who have a student with a life threatening medical condition are asked to please check-in with the office at 250-658-5315 to ensure that you have updated medical alert forms on file and that any medications/Epipens have been brought to the school. For children who need an Epipen, it is suggested that the office has one and that there is one for your child’s classroom.
Student Start-Up Information & Verification Form Packages: Packages are now due back. Please return them to your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
Terry Fox Run: Students will be recognizing Terry Fox on Friday, September 24th during the gym class. Should you wish make a donation to the Terry Fox Foundation, please visit: http://www.terryfox.ca/CordovaBayElementary There is no deadline for donations.
Lifetouch Photo Day: Individual student photos will be taken by Lifetouch on Tuesday, October 13th. (The time is still to be confirmed.) After Picture Day, parents/guardians can order pictures on mylifetouch.ca using your Portrait ID and Access Code which can be found on your Picture Day order form.
IMPORTANT! Reporting of Student Absences: A friendly reminder for families to ensure that you contact the school Safe Arrival Line at 250- 658-4002 if your child will be absent from school. Please indicate your child’s first and last name and teacher. If you’re child will be away for more than one day, please ensure that you call of all the days that your child will be away. Thank you!

Monk Office School Supplies Ordered Online: If you ordered Monk's School Supplies for your child this past summer, please contact the school office at 250-658-5315 to see if we have received them. If so, we can arrange a time for you to pick them up!

PAC Consent Form: If you wish to receive PAC emails, please return the PAC Communication Consent Form asap. (See attachment.) If the Form does not work for you, you can simply email PAC stating:
I give consent to use "insert your email(s)" for PAC/Class Reps purposes and include Child's Name, Grade and Teacher(s) for each of your children.
Class Reps Needed: Each class/division needs a class rep. It is an easy way to get involved. Duties include:
- Organizing Hot Lunch volunteers (currently suspended due to covid)
- Organizing Group Gift for Teachers
- Supporting Teachers in their classrooms for special events
- Passing along messages/reminders from PAC
