SCHOOL NEWS...
Virtual “Meet the Teacher/Open House”: School staff are busy preparing individual classroom orientations for their families. Over the month of October, your child’s teacher will share with you an introduction to their class in one of the following ways:
- A slideshow
- A link to a group online meeting
- A Google slideshow guided by your child in the comfort of your home
- A 3D picture presentation, or
- A Welcome Video by the teacher
School Administrators will also send you a link to a slidedeck entitled, “Wecome to Cordova Bay 2020.”
IMPORTANT - Reporting of Student Absences: A friendly reminder for families to ensure that you contact the school Safe Arrival Line at 250-658-4002 by 8:30 am EACH day that your child will be absent from school. Please indicate your child’s first and last name and teacher. Thank you!
IMPORTANT - Students with Life Threatening Conditions: Parents who have a student with a life threatening medical condition as asked to please check-in with the office to ensure that you have updated medical alert forms on file and that any medications/Epipens have been brought to the school. For children who need an Epipen, it is suggested that the office has one and that there is one for your child’s classroom.
Student Start-Up Information & Verification Form Packages: Packages are now due back. Please return them to your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
Lifetouch Photo Day: Individual student photos will be taken by Lifetouch on Tuesday, October 13th in the morning. After Picture Day, parents/guardians can order pictures on mylifetouch.ca using your Portrait ID and Access Code which can be found on your Picture Day order form.

Individual School Photos for Cordova Bay REMOTE LEARNERS: November 13, 2020, Time TBD. This will enable you to get your photo done with less people around. This is our photo re-take day.
Monk Office School Supplies Ordered Online: If you ordered Monk's School Supplies for your child this past summer, please contact the school office at 250-658-5315 to see if we have received them. If so, we can arrange a time for you to pick them up!
