Dear Cordova Bay Families,
Despite every effort to salt and clear paths, our school lots, with the warm, sunny, day-time temperatures and then cold nights, continue to melt and then freeze. This cycle of melting and freezing is causing very slippery surfaces. Our ground's crew and staff continue to clear paths and salt; and we ask that families:
- continue to use caution, as you make your way across the lots, especially in the morning when what appears to be a puddle of water is actually ice that has been salted in the early a.m. by our crews but remains slippery;
- be sure to wear footwear appropriate to such conditions;
- allow enough time to take it slow;
- remain on pathways that have been cleared by ground's crew.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to support safe entry and exit into the school during these unusual circumstances.
Sincerely,
Mary Lynn Heron
Principal
