SCHOOL NEWS...

Virtual “Meet the Teacher/Open House”:  School staff are busy preparing individual classroom orientations for their families.  Over the month of October, your child’s teacher will share with you an introduction to their class in one of the following ways:

  • A slideshow
  • A link to a group online meeting
  • A Google slideshow guided by your child in the comfort of your home
  • A 3D picture presentation, or
  • A Welcome Video by the teacher

IMPORTANT - Reporting of Student Absences:  A friendly reminder for families to ensure that you contact the school Safe Arrival Line at 250- 658-4002 by 8:30 am EACH day that your child will be absent from school.  Please indicate your child’s first and last name and teacher.   Thank you!

Wet Weather Preparedness:  As we get more wet weather, families are asked to have their children dressed appropriately to go outside as most days children will go outdoors for their breaks.  Rubber boots, waterproof jackets and rain pants are suggested especially if your child likes to play in/near the puddles!  A full change of clothes in their backpacks is also helpful should they need to change.

Utensils for Eating Snacks & Lunches:  A reminder for families to please pack utensils for your child so they are able to eat their snack or lunch!

REMOTE LEARNERS:

Individual School Photos for Cordova Bay REMOTE LEARNERS:  November 13, 2020, Time TBD.  This will enable you to get your photo done with less people around.  This is our photo re-take day.

Monk Office School Supplies Ordered Online:  If you ordered Monk's School Supplies for your child this past summer, please contact the school office at 250-658-5315 to see if we have received them.  If so, we can arrange a time for you to pick them up!
