Message from your Parent Advisory Council 2021-2022

Hello Cordova Bay Families,

Cordova Bay Parent Advisory Council AGM is fast approaching and we have some roles/positions to fill.

PAC Zoom AGM – May 11 (7-8pm)

There are many ways to volunteer in both Executive (a little more commitment) and Non-Executive (a little less commitment) positions.

Please consider the TREASURER and SECRETARY Positions (They are essential for our PAC to continue next year)

Below is a summary of positions, if you are interested, please don’t hesitate to email us and get a conversation started. We are flexible and we understand that making every meeting isn’t always possible. Our group works together to pick up whatever needs to be done.

We look forward to welcoming some new members for the 2021-22 school year.

Executive Positions

Accepting Nominations for:

·      Vice President – Assists President and Acts as President in their absence. Great introductory role to PAC.

·      Treasurer – No accounting experience necessary. The role is well organized and easy to implement. Lots of support and protocols. Most of our banking is done online. Generally provides an update on accounts at monthly meetings, inputs transactions into accounting software, helps to develop the budget, a few bank visits are required throughout the year, and applies for gaming grant (easy to do).

·      Secretary – Takes (General/Executive) meeting minutes and records attendance of meetings.  If/When we get back to in person meetings, would also help setup for these meetings.

Non-Executive Positions (Committee Roles)

These positions are short term commitments with no obligation to attend our executive meetings.
