SCHOOL NEWS...

 Communicable Disease Program Reminders:

  • Pick-up/Drop-off:  Thank you to parents for ensuring that there is no overcrowding at pick-up and drop-off.
  • Mobile Health Check APP:  Families are encouraged to download and use the mobile Health Check App daily which is found on the school website.
  • Entering the School Building:  Thank you for calling the school office prior to entering the building and for only entering the building at the front door of the school.
  • Wearing of Masks for Grade 4/5 Students:  May we suggest you send your child to school in a clean mask, and with a spare mask, that they are used to wearing.

Reporting of Student Absences:  A friendly reminder for families to ensure that you contact the school Safe Arrival Line at 250-658-4002 if your child will be absent from school.  Please indicate your child’s first and last name and teacher.   If you’re child will be away for more than one day, please ensure that you call for each day that your child will be awayThank you!

Student Start-Up Information & Verification Form Packages: Thank you for returning your child’s student start-up package to their classroom teacher as soon as possible.

Open House:  A huge thank you to everyone who was able to join us for the 1st Open House session on September 21.  It was a wonderful evening of community and connections!  Please see below for the classes who will attend the September 28th Open House:

School Volunteer Information:  Should you wish to volunteer in your child’s class or attend a class field trip, you will need to have a current Criminal Record Check (CRC) on file with the Saanich School District.  All the information can be found on the district website:  IMPORTANT:  The CRC process can take four weeks or longer to process.  Don’t be disappointed… apply for your CRC has soon as possible!  CRCs are valid for 3 years.  If you are unsure if you have a valid CRC on file, please contact the school office.

Terry Fox Run:  Students will be recognizing Terry Fox on Friday, September 24th by doing a run in the morning with safety measures in place.  Donations can be made online to the Terry Fox Foundation.  Please visit:

PAC NEWS...

We Need Class Reps!!!!!  We have 16 Divisions this year and we need to fill the class rep positions. It's not a lot of work, but essential to keeping parents informed of PAC initiatives/events/fundraisers.  Class Rep Role:

  • Inform Parents of upcoming PAC events/fundraisers. (Email)
  • Coordinate Hot Lunch Volunteers via EMAIL. (if we are able this year)
  • Coordinate class group gifts
  • Support Teacher with classroom events
