Parking concerns

As is true every year, we need reminders about vehicle traffic and parking.

  • This year it seems that more traffic than ever is using Rambler Road.   While there has been some increase in parking spaces off Rambler, there doesn't seem to be enough to accommodate the number of vehicles using that area. Please be aware of our neighbours and the inconvenience that this may cause them.  Please do not block their driveways or use their driveways as a parking space.  Also, please ensure that you don't drive over their lawns.
  • When your children are exiting your vehicle, please ensure that they do this safely.  We've had some near misses recently and would hate for a student to be injured because someone was rushing.
  • PLEASE respect the 30 km/h speed zone.  In the rush to get to school some parents have been seen speeding.  Obviously safety is our first priority.  Having a speeding ticket in a school zone is never a pleasant experience, either.

Help us develop our safe and respectful community at Cordova Bay Elementary.
