  • 1:30 pm - Christmas Concert Dress Rehearsal for Extended Family (Aunts/Uncles/Grandparents)

  • 6:00 pm - Christmas Concert for Parents/Guardians/Immediate Family

SCHOOL NEWS...

Cordova Bay Elementary Biannual Book Sale: Thursday, December 6, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm in the gym.  All books will be $0.50 with the proceeds being donated to families in our community.  

Report Cards – Explanation of Student Reporting:  Please see the attached document that explains the updated descriptors that will be used in report cards to assess student learning.  Report cards will be sent home on or before December 7th.

The Power of Why:  Why did the Duck Cross the Road

Student Absences:  If your child will be absent from school, please ensure you call the Safe Arrival Line at 250 658-4002.  If you’re child will be away for more than one day, please ensure that you call each day that your child is absent or indicate the days your child will be away.  Thank you!


PAC NEWS...

Purdy's PICKUP - Monday, Dec 10 (2:30-3:00 pm):  If you ordered Purdy's, please pick up outside the office, Monday, Dec 10th from 2:30-3:00 pm.  If this is not a convenient time, please email cordovabaypac@gmail.com

Red Barn Gift Cards:  Order forms have gone home.  Deadline to order is Friday, December 14th!!!!!   Delivery to child's class will be Monday/Tuesday, Dec 17/18.

Bottle Drive - Saturday, Jan 12 (9am-1pm):  Our school will host a bottle drive early in January. Save your empties over the holidays and bring them by. Please consider volunteering. A sign-up will be emailed out before winter break.

Picking Up the Pieces – The Making of the Witness Blanket:  A documentary film and short Q&A Session with Carey Newman at Claremont Secondary on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 7:00 pm.  See attached PDF for more information.

Cordova Bay Softball Club:  Save the date!  Registration for the 2019 softball season (April-June) at the Cordova Bay Softball Club opens on January 7, 2019. Cordova Bay Softball Club offers free registration for players on the Learn to Play, Under 6, Under 8 and Under 10 teams.  Go to:  http://cordova-bay-fastball.sportssignup.com/site/ to register. This is a great opportunity to try a team sport, get some fresh air and meet new friends. 

Cordova Bay 55+:  Cordova Bay 55 Plus volunteers are making Christmas Crackers for the needy and are in need of toilet paper rolls.  If you have any you can donate, please drop them by the CB55+ office! Thank you!
