Cordova Bay Sponsors a Craft Fair in Support of the Dirty Wall Project:

    • Wednesday, Dec. 19 - After School (Chai will be served.)
    • Week of December 17-21: Before school and at lunch

In support of children and families living in the Saki Naka slum of Mumbai India.  Please consider purchasing a handmade gift by Saki Naka residents, in support of education, medical services and other essential needs for their community.  Thank you for your support!  See the attached PDF for products that will be sold and pricing.

Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2019:

  • Kindergarten Information Evening is Wednesday, January 23 at Kelset Elementary from 7:00-8:30 pm.  See the attached PDF for more information.
  • Registration for children born in 2014 are eligible to register for Kindergarten at Cordova Bay Elementary beginning on Monday, January 28 to Friday, February 1, 2019.  After that, registration will take place at the Saanich Board School Office. See the attached PDF for more information.

IMPORTANT – Reporting of Student Absences:  A friendly reminder for families to ensure that you contact the school Safe Arrival Line at 250 658-4002 if your child will be absent from school.  If you’re child will be away for more than one day, please ensure that you call each day that your child is absent or indicate the days your child will be away.  Thank you!

Becoming More Approachable and Knowledgeable about Growing up in 2018:  A workshop with Jennifer Gibson from Island Sexual Health which will explore all the questions (and their answers) about healthy physical, emotional and social development through the elementary years.

CanSkate:  This winter, join Canada’s best learn-to-skate program – CanSkate! Offered by Peninsula Figure Skating Club, this program is a dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Taught by our NCCP coaches, the program develops skating skills for hockey, figure skating, speed skating and recreational skating. For beginners of all ages, as well as for those wishing to improve their basic skills. Programming qualifies for KidSport and Jumpstart funding. Cordova Bay Softball Club:  Save the date!  Registration for the 2019 softball season (April-June) at the Cordova Bay Softball Club opens on January 7, 2019. Cordova Bay Softball Club offers free registration for players on the Learn to Play, Under 6, Under 8 and Under 10 teams.  Go to:  to register. This is a great opportunity to try a team sport, get some fresh air and meet new friends.
