SCHOOL NEWS...

Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2019:

  • Kindergarten Information Evening for children registering for Kindergarten for the Fall 2019 is TONIGHT, Wednesday, January 23 at Kelset Elementary from 7:00-8:30 pm.  See the attached PDF for more information.

  • Registration for children born in 2014 are eligible to register for Kindergarten at Cordova Bay Elementary beginning on Monday, January 28 to Friday, February 1, 2019.  (See above for the times.) After that, registration will take place at the Saanich Board School Office.  Please visit the Saanich School District website for all the registration details and documentation requirements.

Non-Instructional Day - Monday, January 28th:  Students do not attend school.  Enjoy the long weekend!

Parking:  Cordova Bay Parents and Caregivers are asked to note the following information sent to us via the District of Saanich regarding Rambler Road and Cordova Bay Elemenatry School drop-off.  Concerns were submitted by a Rambler Rd Resident that included:

  • Parking along the west side or Rambler causing boulevard damage.
  • Safety of students crossing Rambler while parents wait in their cars.
  • Potential conflicts with pedestrians and cars pulling in and out of the right-angle parking fronting the school.

The city has asked us to kindly remind parents to use caution when backing out, to not park on the residential side of the street and to be aware of the Streets and Traffic Regulation bylaw No. 8382 that restricts parking on the boulevard. The city also recommends that parents help guide the students safely along Rambler Road.  Thank you for supporting the safe drop-off and pick-up of Cordova Bay students.
