SCHOOL NEWS...

Heart Beat Hop, Wednesday, February 13, 9:00 a.m.:  Please join us next Wednesday, February 13th on the back blacktop for a whole School Fundraiser in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Students will run or hop their way to earning valuable funds to support the 2019 Jump Rope for Heart Campaign!  A fundraising pledge envelope will be sent home this week; however, if you do wish to donate, we encourage you to do so online, as it is fast and easy:

https://secure-support.heartandstroke.ca/site/SPageServer/?pagename=jump_home

Click on the DONATE button and scroll down to Donate to a School (Cordova Bay).

We thank you for supporting your child with their fundraising goal and kindly thank those families who are able to support Cordova Bay School’s 2019 fundraising efforts! The last day to return pledge envelopes or make an online donation is Friday, March 1st.

Please note that the school has opted out of receiving prizes for our fundraising efforts. Our goal is to foster a sense of community and intrinsic motivation to support a good cause with this combined jump rope/running event. We thank you for supporting your child with this goal.

Dirty Wall Project – An Update:  Cindy Ryan wanted to let Cordova Bay families know how grateful they are for the fundraising that has been done for the Dirty Wall Project.  They have been able to pay many school fees and are looking forward to attending an Annual Day Function where the kids perform songs and dance!

The Power of Why:  The Job Interview – Do’s and Don’ts

Reporting of Student Absences:  A friendly reminder for families to ensure that you contact the school Safe Arrival Line at 250 658-4002 if your child will be absent from school.  If you’re child will be away for more than one day, please ensure that you call of all the days that you child will be away.  This is a huge help to the Safe Arrival Parent Volunteers.   Thank you!
