Dear Cordova Bay Families of Gr 1, 2 and 3 students,

Cordova Bay staff can't wait to see our Gr 1-3 students tomorrow at the following times:

Grades 1 and 2: Thursday, September 10--8:40-10:10 am

Grade 3: Thursday, September 10--12:30-2:00 pm

Drop-off - Please drop off your child, no earlier than 15 minutes ahead of time, at the back of the school at the check-in tables. Staff will greet students and take them to their cohort station. Thank you for exiting the playground, after you have dropped off, in order to support physical distancing.

Pick-up - Please pick up your child, no earlier than 15 minutes ahead of time, at the back of the school where you checked in for the orientation. Thank you for exiting the playground, after you have picked up, in order to support physical distancing.

Pick-up and drop off spots for each class will be posted Friday for next week's arrival and dismissal for each class.

The school playground will be closed for our orientation period (Sept 10 and 11) but will reopen on Sept 14.

Students do not need to bring backpacks, snacks or lunches.

Health Checks: Please ensure that a COVID health screening has been done for your child(ren), prior to arriving at school - you will find an easy link to the checks at the very top of our school website. A hard copy will be sent home tomorrow with your child.

For more detailed information, regarding orientations, please refer to the spotlight button at the top of our school website.

Additionally, the district website has an excellent COVID - related Q&A for parents  https://www.sd63.bc.ca/

Never before has September packed such intense energy. There is such a BIG ball of excitement, anxious feelings and relief to get back to the work we so love - building connections with your child(ren) and supporting them in expanding their toolbox of learning tools, both academically and socially. Please connect with our team, if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to support during this unique time of learning and change.

With gratitude,

Mrs. ML Heron
