SCHOOL NEWS...
Elementary Reporting: Report Cards will be sent home on December 17th. British Columbia has a redesigned curriculum which affords us an opportunity to think about how we assess and report on student progress. In Saanich, our goal is to continually improve and to ensure that families are well informed about their children’s progress. This year elementary students in Saanich will receive a report card that looks slightly different than in the past. Teachers in Saanich will be using MyEducation to create report cards. See the attached letter for all the details!
Lifetouch: Special photo order discount for school photos.
Reporting of Student Absences: A friendly reminder for families to ensure that you contact the school Safe Arrival Line at 250 658-4002 if your child will be absent from school. Please indicate your child’s first and last name and teacher. If you’re child will be away for more than one day, please ensure that you call of all the days that your child will be away. Thank you!
Wet Weather Preparedness: A reminder to parents/guardians to have their children dressed appropriately to go outside as most days children will go outdoors for their breaks. Rubber boots, waterproof jackets and rain pants are suggested especially if your child likes to play in/near the puddles! Please send in their backpacks a full change of clothes should they need to change.

- School Apparel Order Pickup: TUESDAY, Dec. 15 and WEDNESDAY, Dec. 16 (Email Pia if you cannot pickup on these days.)
