Dear Parents/Guardians,
Woof - now that was truly a scorcher and tomorrow is reportedly going to be another hot one! Thank you for sending your child with extra water, snacks with high water content such as oranges and watermelon, sunscreen (applied at home), hats and sunglasses.
June 29th, 2021 is the last day of school for students. The main goals of this day are to:
- distribute final report cards (report cards that have not been collected on Tuesday will be in gym by class in alpha order from 8:00-3:30 on June 30th, July 2nd, July 5th, 6th and 7th for parent pickup - please enter gym via undercovered area, maintain 2 m distancing and wear a mask)
- collect student supplies and personal belongings to return home for the summer (student supplies that have not been collected on Tuesday will be in gym by class in alpha order on June 30th, July 2nd, July 5th, 6th and 7th for parent pickup - please enter gym via undercovered area, maintain 2 m distancing and wear a mask)
- celebrate and honour the learning of all students, especially our Grade 5s, as they head off to middle school
* Any belongings not collected on the dates noted above will remain at the school for pick-up in Sept.
IMPORTANT Attendance and Dismissal Information for Tuesday, June 29th:
- If you child will NOT be in attendance, please call the attendance line phone # at 250-658-4002 or email the Cordova Bay general email: cordovabay@saanichschools.ca
- If you wish to pick your child up early from school on this day, please kindly let your child's teacher know in advance, as this greatly supports the dismissal process.
