Dear Parents and Guardians,
This year, staff and students have chosen to wear costumes on Friday, October 29. Students can wear a costume, wear orange and black, bring a simple disguise, or just their regular clothes. There is no pressure for your child to come to school with a costume.
If your child chooses to wear a costume, please ensure that it is elementary school appropriate - nothing gruesome or scary and any weapons need to be left at home. If there is any concern about a costume being in good condition for trick-or-treating by the end of the day, please do not send it to school. Accessories can sometimes get lost or broken and this is a hard way to head into Halloween weekend
There are lots of great, creative costume ideas using items you likely already have at home, such as recycled materials - here are some:

There will be fun activities within each class that will be inclusive for all students, as well as sock hops for classes in the gym and a Monster Mash on the field at the end of the day (weather permitting) from 3:00-3:30!
It's important to be safe this Halloween. Before you take part in Halloween celebrations and activities this year, check out the BCCDC website for Halloween COVID-19 safety advice: http://www.bccdc.ca/about/news-stories/stories/2020/treat-yo-self-to-a-safe-halloween
