School Start Up Information for September 2019
We are excited to see everyone next week! Below are the details for school start up:
Returning Students: The first day of school for all returning students is Tuesday, September 3rd from 8:40 am to 10:30 am. Students will go to their LAST YEAR's classes on this day. Wednesday to Friday, (September 4-6), will be regular school hours.
NEW Grade 1 to 5 Students: NEW Grade 1 to 5 students that have received confirmation of their registration at Cordova Bay Elementary, will also start on Tuesday, September 3rd from 8:40 am to 10:30 am. New students will meet with our school Principal, Mrs. Heron, in the GYM at 8:40 am. Wednesday to Friday, (September 4-6), will be regular school hours. Welcome Letters for new Grade 1 to 5 families were emailed on June 27th. A copy of the letter is also attached. (NEW Kindergarten students do not attend on this day.)
NEW Kindergarten Students: Kindergarten students that have received confirmation of their registration at Cordova Bay Elementary will enter school using the Gradual Entry Program. They will start on Wednesday, September 4th and attend in smaller groups for shorter periods of time until Tuesday, September 10th. The Gradual Entry Program letters were mailed to Kindergarten families on Friday, June 28th and provide the schedule details and indicate what group your child has been assigned to. If you did not receive the letter by mail:
- a copy of the schedule is attached, and
- to find out what GROUP your child has been assigned to, please email our school Principal, Mrs. Heron at mheron@saanichschools.ca.
