SCHOOL NEWS...

Request for Parent Helper for Life Touch Photo Retake Day: We are needing one parent/guardian to help with Photo Retakes on Tuesday, November 26 from 9:00 am to approximately 11:15 am. This would involve helping distribute the photo ID cards as students come for their photo. If you are able to help, please call the school office at 250-658-5315. Thank you!

Lifetouch Photos:

Lifetouch photo packages that were ordered online by families will be coming home in the next day or two. For families that sent in orders to the school, Lifetouch has them and photo packages will arrive shortly.
Photo Retake Day, Tuesday, November 26th, 9:00 am to approximately 11:15 am: Retakes or photos for students that missed the first photo session.

“Give a Kid a Coat” and “Out of the Cold”: We would like to put the call out for any gently used coats in order to support the "Give a Kid a Coat" campaign by "Sleep Country Canada"; as well as any blankets, warm socks, toques, gloves, scarves, tents and sleeping bags in order to support the "Out of the Cold" initiative by "Our Place Society". Please drop off any items you wish to donate to the box outside the school office. We will happily bring these items to their respective organizations.

The Power of Why: Every Child Has a Gift

Wet Weather Preparedness: As we get more wet weather, families are asked to have their children dressed appropriately to go outside as most days children will go outdoors for their breaks. Rubber boots, waterproof jackets and rain pants are suggested especially if your child likes to play in/near the puddles! A full change of clothes in their backpacks is also helpful should they need to change.

Reporting of Student Absences: A friendly reminder for families to ensure that you contact the school Safe Arrival Line at 250 658-4002 if your child will be absent from school. If you’re child will be away for more than one day, please ensure that you call of all the days that your child will be away. This is a huge help to the Safe Arrival Parent Volunteers. Thank you!
