Parents and students: The current labour dispute between the BCTF and BCPSEA has not been resolved.  Starting tomorrow, June 17, school and District facilities will be behind picket lines until further notice.  We apologize for this disruption to families.

As mentioned earlier, Provincial Exams have been deemed essential and students in Grade 10-12 are expected to report to their schools just prior to the scheduled examination times.  Buses will be running at regular hours for secondary students who are writing exams.  Teachers on pickets lines are required to allow students, Education Assistants (who support students with special needs) and administrators to enter the school.  Please check your school's website for the entrance to the school that has been designated for this purpose.

Please continue to monitor news channels and school websites for further information.

Thank you,

Nancy Macdonald, Superintendent of Schools (Saanich #63)
